2024As an invention dating back to the 19th century, the elevator has changed the traditional horizontal layout of buildings, enabled breakthroughs in height, and made skyscrapers possible. In the 21st century, elevators have become a part of our daily lives. In this process, it serves as a means of transportation to achieve a convenient distance. Still, it also increases the distance between people by efficiently separating them to designated floors. I selected three places where elevators are most commonly used in daily life to research elevator distances.
